True Blood Comic Book Cover Art released

True Blood Comic

True Blood Comic IDW, the publisher for the True Blood comic book has released the cover art, so Stephen portrayal of Bill Compton is now immortalized in comic art. We are glad that he seems to have the more rugged season 1 hair in the image, and is wearing what appears to be Bill’s classic look, a Henley.

The cover art work highlights Sookie and Bill with smaller drawings of Eric, Sam, Jason, Jessica, and Tara.

The story is written by True Blood creator Alan Ball and is said to be scripted by David Tischman famous for Bite Club. It takes place in Merlotte’s bar where Sookie, Bill, Eric, Tara, Jason, Sam, and Lafayette are trapped by a ghost. It’s a dark and stormy night and the ghost forces the group to retell their deepest darkest secrets so that it may feed off their shame.

Fans can buy the comic on HBO’s website at $4.99 per issue for the 6 issue series.   Each issue will have 32-pages with a bonus inside each of an exclusive pull out poster by David Messina. They will be shipped July 21st.  You know you really want one, so go on over to and purchase your copy at the HBO Shop Online.

  1. I just preordered. With a cover like that!! I have to have it to add to my collection!
They all look great but Bill and Sookie look really awesome on it.

  2. I’m going to have to get this. I’m surprised the Eric lovers haven’t been throwing fits over this cover.
