While ITV has not yet made an official announcement about the shows return with an exact date, we think this must be true since Eleventh Hours Films, the production company behind the show tweeted the following:

The article at British Blacklist says:

Safe House returns to ITV this September with an all new cast and crime story. This time with Ashley Walters (Cuffs, Top Boy) joining the cast.

The series stars internationally renowned British actor Stephen Moyer (True Blood, The Bastard Executioner, Shots Fired) as charismatic yet impulsive ex-police officer Tom Brook who runs this season’s police safe house, which stands at the edge of the sea on the rugged coastline of Anglesey, a wild and beautiful sanctuary.

Stephen is joined by actress Zoë Tapper (Mr Selfridge, Lewis), Dervla Kirwan, (Injustice, Blackout), Jason Watkins (Taboo, The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies), Sunetra Sarker (Ackley Bridge, Casualty), Sacha Parkinson (Mr Selfridge, The Driver) and Joel MacCormack (Wolf Hall).

Walters was recently seen in BBC police drama In the Dark, the four-part drama by Bafta-winning writer Danny Brocklehurst (Ordinary Lies, The Driver, Exile). Adapted from books by bestselling novelist Mark Billingham. Walters was cast as Tim Cornish – a confident police officer.

So, finally, after all this waiting it looks like, at least the British audience will get a chance to see Stephen Moyer in this role this coming September!  As soon as a premiere date is announced, we’ll be sure to let you know!
