True Blood wins again: Bill and Sookie gets Best Deflowering

There seems to be an award for everything and True Blood is taking home many of them, including the The Cult Spy Award 2009 for the Best Deflowering. I don’t know how many deflowerings were performed on television this past year… but Bill sure gave Sookie something to remember and is very deserving of this award!

The terrific True Blood mesmerized audiences with the relationship between young, telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton. Their early canoodlings come up against the animosity of the town, given the undesirable status accorded to vampires. However, the lonely pair forge a touching and meaningful bond, something Sookie had been unable to manage earlier as her abilities often thwarted any romantic possibilities.

  1. I remember the anticipation that first season, and the aggrivation that they cut the scene in two. But it was beautiful, and in it’s entirety, perfect in every way. The music was so sweet and sad and then sexy too. I’m always amazed at the emotion pulled from the music. The lighting was also such a mood, setter. Alright, enough of the lady-like crap…I felt it. When he deflowered her, he deflowered me too, even though I’d been without a bouquet for decades. I felt that thrust in my deepest happy place. Who among us didn’t imagine ourselves lying infront of that fireplace with him? The thrust with his left hip was absolutely inspiring. Yes, Sookie was a lucky young woman to have Bill be her first. Much preferred to having it be some pimply inept boy in the back seat of a Camaro, with the seatbelt crammed in her butt.

  2. As a newcomer to the show this summer, I only had to wait between episodes as long as it took to order #7 from the on-demand menu, and that seemed like ages! It was touching and beautiful and I appreciated all the closeups of the faces. Especially being able to see the wonderful expression in Stephen’s eyes, so many emotions passed over his face in those brief shots.

  3. GF, thank you for making me laugh so hard coming home after a long day of work. You made me cry! You have the gift to put in words what we were all feeling that moment.

  4. Actually, it occurred in 2008, so let’s give Bill and Sookie the award two years’ running. I cannot expand on LISMlvr’s post. Well and enthusiastically written. When Bill hesitated after his fangs ran out and Sookie wordlessly encouraged him to continue … that was a beautiful affirmation for me of the trust she had in him. I agree with LIS … I felt it, too, and rejoiced for Sookie. For both of them. And grateful that at my age I could be as moved as I was.

  5. What can be added to LISM’s? LMAO

We Babes having discussed the deflowering scene at length seems to have come to a speedy consensus that every virgin should be so fortunate as Sookie. In Sookie’s own words “it was so perfect.”
From Sookie slipping into her white gown to Bill backing into his hideyhole without breaking eye contact, it was done so beautifully.

Come what may there is no disputing Bill Compton is a hard act to follow.

  6. The entire scene, from Sookie running out of her house to the beautiful, haunting music (bless you Nathan Barr), in the amazing scenery of weeping willows framed by the dusk.
Bill bursting out of his double doors to walk onto his porch and then stop to FEEL her. They run to each other and try to become one. He carries her inside and they ever so slowly undress each other, Bill hesitiates, his fangs are an embarassment to him. Sookie silently urges him to …………………..
The desire, the trust, the love!!!!
I was moved as never before. Stephen was perfection from beginning to his fangalishious end.
    Best deflowering??? Absolutely!! Without comparison.

  7. best romatic scene ever. best gothic sex scene ever. i don’t know if anything can ever touch it. it was so, so perfect.

  8. I really wanted to write a brief word so as to say thanks to you for the fantastic points you are showing on this website. 9. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

  10. I can surely say the same, my first time was completely ‘forgettable’…I hated it but my second boyfriend was so perfect! You can laugh but he and Mr. Moyer share the same Zodiac sign, Libra. Librians really know how to do it! Congratulations to both actors for such an incredible and touching sex scene!
