Facing The Atlantic

The Atlantic Row of Facing The Atlantic starts TOMORROW

Tomorrow Bertie and James will start their heroic row across the Atlantic Ocean. A total of 17 boats take part in this year’s Talisker Whisky Race and they will begin their journey from La Gomera to Barbados at the canon blast at 12.30 pm GMT. The row across will take approximately 60 days.

We wish all the contestants good luck, fair winds, calm seas and a safe journey across. Our hearts especially go out to Bertie and James. We have followed their preparation and training, their joys and struggles to arrive at this day of departure. We admire their courage and determination.
