Video Promo featuring Stephen Moyer in ‘The Double’

Stephen Moyer is such a fabulous actor that he literally steals all the scenes when he appears as Brutus in his film, The Double. Watch him, in the video below, where he has transformed himself into the character of a Russian spy.

Unfortunately, this video seems to only be available in the US.

The DVD is being released on Tuesday, January 31; purchase it at Amazon or ITunes from the links below. Also, see our screen caps from Stephen’s scenes in the film here.

Stephen Moyer Expected to Attend The Bafta Tea Party Saturday

The Golden Globes aren’t until Sunday, but stars will begin celebrating early. Stephen Moyer will let his British side show strong when he is among those to attend the BAFTA TEA PARTY which takes place on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

The Brits will serve an old-fashioned high tea in the afternoon, with Emily Watson, Evan Rachel Wood, Shailene Woodley, Stephen Moyer, Max Minghella, Chloë Grace Moretz, Ben Kingsley, Stephen Daldry and Pedro Almodóvar expected to attend.

The BAFTA Los Angeles Awards Season Tea Party has a long tradition of recognizing the very best film-making talent and is hugely popular with Nominees seeking a respite from the hectic and demanding Awards season.

As well as honoring the year’s nominees and winners, the Tea Party also includes a silent auction to raise funds and awareness of our Community Outreach and Philanthropic programs including our Heritage Archive and Inner City Cinema programs.

On Sunday, at the HBO party, we might get to see more of Stephen and his fellow cast members when once again, the HBO folks get down poolside with casts from hits such as “Game of Thrones,” “True Blood” and their applauded “Mildred Pierce” miniseries starring Winslet, Evan Rachel Wood, Melissa Leo and Guy Pearce.

Can’t wait!

The last time Stephen attended the BAFTA event was in January of 2009 and here’s a couple of photos from that appearance:

After seeing it when it first came out, I wrote a review of the film that has extensive information about the film. You can see it here.

Stephen Moyer Quiz kept Moyerists entertained during the Holidays

The Ultimate Stephen Moyer Quiz that was published as a present for our 2 year anniversary proved to be a hurdle that not all aspiring Moyerists could jump over at the first try.

Only about 40% of all fans who took the quiz so far managed to obtain the much desired degree in Moyerism in one try only, the rest had to take the quiz twice or more in order to answer at least 75% of the questions correctly.

What are the most difficult questions to answer? Many have difficulty with the questions about Stephen’s older work; the name or profession of a certain character he played several years ago or how that character died.

But the biggest challenge of course are the bonus questions. We received the bonus questions in all secrecy from a source that wishes to remain anonymous and even Lynn and I didn’t know the answers to those questions!

What were the names of Stephen’s goldfish? No idea!
What were his favorite subjects in high school? There were only 1 or 2 fans who got that answer right!
And what cover did his band always play? Most of you picked the wrong song… so did I… and Lynn.

And there are more questions like that. Getting curious? Take The Ultimate Stephen Moyer Quiz and find out if you got what it takes to earn your degree in Moyerology. Take the quiz here.

p.s. please don’t discuss the questions and answers in the comments to this post or on the quiz page, we don’t want to ruin the fun for those who haven’t taken the quiz yet. Thanks.

The Brentwood Theatre Christmas show, Jemima Puddle-Duck and her friends, was a huge hit with the Brentwood kids. One of the schools that was sponsored with money raised through AllStephenMoyer.com was the Hogarth Primary School and the pupils sent letters of thanks to the theatre.

Here are a few example, you can see more letters by downloading the PDF file.

Thanks again to all who participated in 2011 to raise money for the Stephen Moyer Kids Theatre Fund.

Facing The Atlantic Log Book: Stuck in the Middle of the Atlantic (NOT)

If it was easy to row the Atlantic everybody would do it. These past 2 weeks were particularly hard on Bertie and James.

On December 29 their last oar broke and they have been drifting in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean ever since. They are spending most of their time in the hot and airless cabin with the door shut and there is a reason why the door must be shut at all times. On January 2 Patience was hit by a huge wave that caused the boat to roll over once, Bertie and James were inside the cabin when it happened and they remained unharmed. The wave did damage their tracking beacon however so their position can’t signaled through. The support vessel Aurora is on its way to supply substitute oars and a new beacon and should reach them today or tomorrow, if all goes well.  has reached them and supplied them with new oars. They are on their way again!

Patience is a virtue, but they are still in high spirits and still in the race. From the 17 boats 6 have already retired from the race.

Bertie did a radio interview yesterday for Kent BBC, he sums up nicely all the setbacks they’ve had to endure. Listen to it here.

All rights are of the BBC.

The good news is that a total of £350,000 ($540,000) has been raised. We are thrilled to announce that the combined efforts of AllStephenMoyer.com, TrueBlood-Online.com and SimplyMoyer.com have raised $20,000 so far!

A wonderful video shot by James’ uncle about the start of the race back in December.

And the second start four days later.

You can make a direct donation to Facing The Atlantic here :

Please note: add the code TB4FTA (True Blood for Facing The Atlantic) to the note of your donation so we can keep track of how much was donated by True Blood / Stephen Moyer fans.
