Recently, we posted some info about Stephen Moyer’s upcoming film, ‘The Hatton Garden Job’ which is about the 2015 heist, in which £14 million in valuables were stolen from a safe deposit facility in London, dramatised with ‘Watchmen’ and ‘The Imitation Game’ star Matthew Goode in the lead.
It also stars ‘True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Joely Richardson, but is going to be most notable for the aging robbers who conducted the robbery.
They’re being played by veteran stars Clive Russell, Phil Daniels, David Calder and Larry Lamb.
The burglary occurred over the Easter holiday weekend in 2015, with the perpetrators using huge drills to bore through the walls of a vault on Hatton Garden, London’s famous jewellery district.
The robbery’s ringleader Brian Reader, played by Lamb, was 76 when the heist took place, and was sentenced to six years in jail last year.
In all, those who were caught and convicted were given 34 years in prison.
Reports as to the value of what was stolen vary, but while some set the figure at £14 million, others have said it could be as much as £35 million.
