Stephen Moyer’s new Marvel X-Men series is certainly moving forward quickly; and, as we previously reported will begin filming this month in Dallas, Texas. While it could change at any moment, so far, the tentative title for the series is “Heaven.”
We already know that Steve’s dad character, Reed, is “an ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of his job at the DA’s office with his responsibilities to his family.” We also know that the series will include lots of action and require Reed to save his family, which includes mutant children, by living on the run.
This week the additional casting has been fast and furious. Below is a list of the announced cast members, so far.

Amy Acker (Person Of Interest, Angel, The Cabin In The Woods) will play Reed’s wife, Kate Stewart, the mother of the central family.
Emma Durmont (Bunheads, Pretty Little Liars) will play Polaris, “a strong-willed, brave and loyal mutant who has the ability to manipulate magnetism.”
Percy Hynes White (Between, 11.22.63) has joined the cast as well playing Andy, “a sensitive kid and bit of a loner, who keeps to himself to avoid the turmoil he faces at school and at home.”
Natalie Alyn Lind (Gotham, The Goldbergs and iZombie) will be playing Lauren, one of the children in the main family. Lauren as “smart, pretty, popular, organized and already ahead on her college applications, she is the model of a perfect kid.” The exact nature of Lauren’s mutant powers remains to be seen.
Sean Teale (Incorporated, Skins, Reign and We Are The Freaks) is confirmed for the role of Marcos Diaz, who also goes by the mutant codename Eclipse. The character is described as: “A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe.”
Jamie Chung will play the teleporting mutant heroine Blink. Blink’s civilian alter ego in this instance will be Clarice Fong (a bit of a change from Clarice Ferguson from the comics), described by the official Marvel announcement as “a sarcastic and lively tomboy. Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life, as she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home,’ Clarice is slowly becoming herself again.“
Blair Redford (Switched At Birth, Satisfaction, 90210, and who could forget his turn as Army Fighter Pilot #1 in The Day The Earth Stood Still?) has also signed up for a mutant role. Redford will be playing Sam, “the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network.” The main family will have to join his ranks after going into hiding.
