Brentwood Theatre proud of its success with Beatrix Potter hit
One last look back at the Brentwood Theatre Christmas show that AllStephenMoyer.com sponsored again last year. The theatre sent out the following press release.
Brentwood Theatre has awarded itself a ‘pat on the back’ following the huge success of its December production of Beatrix Potter’s PETER RABBIT AND HIS FRIENDS which ran for thirty six performances throughout December and saw three thousand people flock through the doors.
With new co-producers, Vivid Musical Theatre, joining the team this year, a huge number of staff and even greater number of volunteers all worked together to welcome pupils from around a dozen local schools, as well as many local families. The simple story, great set and costumes and a hugely talented cast easily kept children from as young as two entertained with the stories of Mrs Tiggywinkle, Benjamin Bunny and, of course, Peter Rabbit.
Chairman of Brentwood Theatre Trust, Ian Davies, said, “We are also so pleased with the outcome. Despite difficult times, our audience was up and, thanks to the support of BNY Mellon, our international supporters The BillsBabes, together with many people around the Theatre who gave their time for nothing, we saw an excellent show which has generated some profits which will be re-invested in the Theatre.”
This February and November, further children’s shows are planned for local, young families and all options are being looked at for Christmas 2013, when the Theatre will also be marking its twentieth birthday.
