It’s been a privilege for me to be a member and, in the past, even to meet some of the wonderful people involved in the fandom that is the Billsbabes.
Below, LISMlvr shares her experience when some of the Billsbabes met in New York City last weekend and a wonderful time was had by all.
Billsbabes met in New York City on Saturday, July 31st, for what has become an annual event. This is the third year we’ve met for lunch and our numbers have grown from five the first year to ten this year. The attendees not only hailed from the tristate area, but we had the pleasure of meeting two from Pennsylvania, one from Nebraska, and another from Washington State. The draw? Seeing people that we feel like we’ve known for years even though some of us have only spoken on Yuku. We hope to meet more of you in the future.

The weather was glorious as we gathered wearing our purple shirts, in the Bryant Park Grill. Afterward, the group moved outside to an outdoor cafe and we were joined by the husbands of two of the Babes (fantastic meeting you both!) and Andy (Dwizardkitty) of the Blood Work vlog. I mean this as a compliment, Andy … you fit right in.
It’s a crazy phenomena, meeting people on a fan site and forming close friendships, but it has been a joy developing these bonds and all in the name of our favorite character in True Blood. Someday, perhaps, Stephen will join us for a drink and a laugh (we had a lot of both).

As has been said- fantastic group of ladies, and this was an experience of a lifetime for me (besides seeing the craziness that is NYC!). We all are just a bunch of gals who’ve bonded over the last two years, after having seen Bill Compton walk into Merlotte’s. We’ve bonded over the sexiness that is Stephen, and now things in our everyday lives. Luv to you all.

I so wish I could have been with you! Next year, ABneg and I plan on joining in on the fun! I really have to admit, The Billsbabes are a beautiful bunch of women …and men! Stephen should be proud to have such a lovely bunch of fans and admirers. We have all grown so close and formed very close friendships, to which I am very Thankful…..I love you all!

What a great time you all seemed to have and you are all beautiful women as well. I enjoy talking with you all online and now know what some of you look like! Andy also seems like he fit right in and enjoyed the fun and festivities. It would be great if Stephen saw this and realizes just how much he has done to form these wonderful friendships, what a great example of how magical the internet can be!

As LISM said we are everywhere 54 countries was it?? We have babes in Sweeden that should meet!! We are willing to put our pocket change together to see each other all because of Bill – that is power. Lou your “mini meet” is testimony to what we will do. I do not believe SM has a clue what he has created within us. As I type this I know shad is on her way from Italy to the UK. Alan Ball and etc. has so much to live up too.

We had a blast in NYC and each year it grows. I must say we certainly draw looks whenever we meet and had a random guy jump into one of our pictures. Meeting Andy was great and he certainly did fit right in. I look forward to the next get together and LISM, thank you for putting all this together and more importantly, helping me navigate the trains.

All of you from different parts of the country should do this. It takes a little planning and coordination, but the payoff is tremendous.
